Working with a variety of music and rhythms, Medau movement encourages the body to move with energy, strength, stamina, suppleness and co-ordination. Focussing on correct posture and body alignment, Medau movement has a natural, flowing quality, whilst at the same time being dynamic, lifting the spirits and increasing confidence.

Medau NDT meets Dance Champions

The Medau NDT performs at the Royal Festival Hall for the launch of Dance Champions

On Thursday 15th October the Medau National Display Team performed at the Royal Festival hall for the launch of ‘Dance Champions’. This is an initiative by the Department of Health to get everyone up and dancing before the Olympics in 2012 and is part of the Change 4 Life campaign. There are 11 Dance Champions to spearhead the campaign including Arlene Phillips, Lisa Snowden, Angela Rippon, Darren Bennett, and the EMDPs chief executive our own Daran Bennett! Our hoop item choreographed by Margaret Charlwood was well received and the team thoroughly enjoyed the experience. For more details follow www.dancechampions.org.uk
