Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults

The Medau Society takes seriously its moral and legal responsibility to protect children, young people and vulnerable adults from abuse and our aim is to ensure that all participants are kept safe from harm and enjoy the positive benefits of all exercise, movement and dance related activities.

The Medau Society, through it's partnership with EMDP, has achieved its preliminary level of the NSPCC standards for safeguarding and protecting children in sport and are committed to achieving their Foundation standard by 2011. The Medau Society is committed to providing equitable guidance and governance to all its teachers and to ensuring that all activities provided by teachers are accessible and open to all. The Medau Society has achieved the Equality Standard for Sport foundation level (through its partnership with EMDP) and is committed to achieving the preliminary standard by 2011.
